This catalogue records the instructions by telephone from the participants (as a 33 rpm record in a record jacket) along with documentation on the inside of the record jacket. The outside cover of the record jacket, has the printed caption, "This Is A Recording" whereas the inside cover, has the printed caption, "This Is A Catalogue." Scope and Contents This work contains exp/ ress card 4, two copies of which are held in a separate card set by the Sackner Archive. Edition Hundertrmark: Valoch was born 1946 in Brno, Czechoslovakia and lives in Brno, Czech Republic. From 1965 to 1970, Valoch studied Czech and German literature and aesthetics at the Faculty of Philosophy, Masaryk University in Brno. He has worked as an art critic, theorist and curator since 1966. From 1972 to 2001, he was a theorist and curator of Art, Dum umeni, Brno. Currently, he is curator at the National Gallery Prag. Since 1966, Valoch has participated in numerous individual (in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Austria) and group exhibitions. He was a member of the Klub konkretistu (Club of Concretists) from 1968 to 1972. Scope and Contents The colophon indicates that the signed and numbered edition with one original of 50 copies, a signed and numbered edition of 100 copies and a numbered edition of 900 copies. The current copy identified as XVIII/L is part of the most limited edition of this work. The original is a graphite drawing of an oval by Gianni B. [Gianni Bertini?]. The box includes a plastic bag signed by Joseph Beuys containing a polemic on the differences between Democracy and Socialism with enclosed loose sheets signed by Beuys documenting his famous Coyote performance held in NYC. Also contains an wrapped plastic, roped object by Christo. Byars contributed is a silver quarter American coin plated with gold enclosed by a black crumpled paper wrapping.
